X-Men: Days of Future Past is still in theaters but that hasn’t stopped Fox or Bryan Singer from sharing what the next installment will be. Entitled X-Men: Apocalypse, the film will follow the X-Men facing off against – yeah, you guessed it: Apocalypse. Following the last two X-Men films, it will also be a period piece; this time taking place in the 1980s, arguably the best decade.

It’s very easy making comparisons to Marvel and DC as of late. Marvel has created a shared movie (and television) universe for their growing cast of superheroes. The second trailer for Marvel Studios’ biggest gamble is out. Guardians of the Galaxy is shaping up to be the space opera of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With director James Gunn, they’re clearly going all out.

Last week director Zack Snyder tweeted a photo of Ben Affleck dressed as Batman next to the new Batmobile. The new suit is clearly a departure from previous film incarnations of Batman. -
Another ‘Justice League’ Member in ‘Batman vs. Superman’ Movie
We all joked that the currently filming Batman vs. Superman movie is practically a Justice League film; Ben Affleck joined as Batman against Henry Cavill’s Superman; Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman. Now the role of Cyborg was officially cast as well. -
More Spin-offs for ‘X-Men’?
We’re getting closer to the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past, and director Bryan Singer already mentioned filming X-Men: Apocalypse next. Despite that, and Wolverine getting a third movie, Fox wants to expand their movie universe. There’s talk about more spin-offs for other characters. -

Tonight is the midnight showing for Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Like many others, I’ll be in line for it. The film already screened and opened in other places, and the main word is that what occurs in it will change the landscape of the Marvel Universe.
