Disney released an official photo of Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln in — you guessed it: Lincoln. The man really does disappear in a role. And if Day-Lewis portraying Lincoln isn’t enough, the movie is directed by Steven Spielberg.
Oh, and just to throw it out there: Joseph Gordon-Levitt is also in the movie as Robert Todd Lincoln.
Lincoln is slated for release November 9.
Marvel’s The Avengers not only ruled the summer box office but became one of the biggest movies ever. And why wouldn’t it be? It was the first time superheroes from different movies came together under one title. It didn’t hurt that the cast was full of charismatic actors who clearly had a lot of chemistry together. Then there’s writer and director Joss Whedon, who spearheaded the project.
We’re drawing closer to the release date of The Expendables 2, starring — well, you can easily see for yourself the stellar action cast from the past and present. And it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that they’d end up with their own version of The Last Supper.
The guns, alcohol, and skull are a nice touch.
Now if they only sat like that at the panel at Comic-Con.

Marvel Studios is becoming the definition of “workaholic”. They didn’t hesitate to dive right into their “Phase 2” of movies, one of which is Thor: The Dark World. Christopher Eccleston — mainly known in Dr. Who as the 9th doctor — is in final negotiations to join the cast.
Prometheus had awe-inspiring visuals and incredible acting from Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace, but the story was not only open-ended, it was full of plot holes that left a lot to be desired. So a sequel is the next course of action, right? Wrong! By which I mean right.
Actor John Leguizamo has kept himself busy this year. On top of starring in the ABC pilot Only Fools and Horses, he signed up for The Counselor directed by Ridley Scott, and will also play a role in the movie Kick-Ass 2.

The Olympics officially kicked off and joining it on television is the trailer for the new James Bond flick, Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig. And it’s great to see Bond keeping it classy, adjusting his suit and watch after landing on his feet from a distance.

The trailer for Silent Hill: Revelation is online, and it definitely keeps up with the strong, haunting atmosphere that made the first movie so enjoyable.
