Trailer for ‘Suicide Squad’
It surprises me. Suicide Squad is winning me over. The biggest issue I had — ironically — is Jared Leto’s Joker. Nevertheless, the film looks fun. But it might be just because of the song choice for the trailer. Maybe.

Amongst the craziness of a certain little movie in theaters, I went and saw the film Creed. Nearly everything about it is incredible; the likable characters, the emotional weight behind every scene, and the fantastic camera work. It quickly became one of my top movies of 2015. Suffice to say, I was very excited to hear that the man behind Creed will direct Marvel’s Black Panther.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is dominating theaters everywhere. And we won’t have to wait too long for the next installment. The script was already finished by Rian Johnson, who will also direct the untitled Episode VIII film that’s due on May 26, 2017.
By now you have seen the trailer for the highly anticipated Captain America: Civil War — unless you’re Matt Murdoch wearing earmuffs.
Growing up, I was a huge fan of actor and martial artist, Mark Dacascos. You could even say I idolized the man. I loved his fighting style in Drive – which if you haven’t seen, you really should. It has incredible fight scenes. Why am I bringing him up? (Pretending that you didn’t read the headline.) He has signed on to one of my favorite TV shows: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The show Gotham has grown with another new cast member that piqued my interest a lot. A lot. BD Wong has joined and he will portray Batman villain, Hugo Strange. Before I get into that – BD Wong. Of Jurassic Park. And more recently: Jurassic World. You know him. The ever-smug Doctor Henry Wu.
Today Empire released their magazine cover of Jared Leto as the Joker for the upcoming movie, Suicide Squad. It further illustrates the departure from earlier film incarnations. It’s wildly different from the Heath Ledger version. For instance, the coat looks expensive, rather than the ill-fitted mess in The Dark Knight. Plus the cane is a nice touch.
