  • The CW’s New Show: Cult

    I normally don’t watch TV — unless it’s Supernatural or The Vampire Diaries  — so quick promos for a show entitled Cult recently caught my interest. They showed something creepy, then a quick monologue by actor Robert Knepper, who played a brilliant antagonist in the final season of Heroes. He portrayed the part with a dangerous charisma that fits perfectly with the cult leader he plays in the Cult promos.

  • Marvel Studios Bringing in “Phase 3”

    marvel_logoMarvel’s “Phase 2” is well underway, with Iron Man 3 leading the charge, and Guardians of the Galaxy as the newcomers on the big screen. Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, said they’re already planning out “Phase 3”, which will bring more comic book characters on the big screen.

  • Promo Art for Iron Man 3

    ironman3artMarvel is gearing up for another marketing push for Iron Man 3, starring the one and only Robert Stark Jr. — I mean, Robert Downey Jr. A few promo art pieces are circulating online to drum up excitement. A couple show the new War Machine armor — and no, I don’t mean the Iron Patriot version. In another promo piece, we’re treated to a few armors in the background that look dramatically different than what we’re accustomed to. It’s safe to assume they’re villainous suits.

  • J.J. Abrams to Direct Next Star Wars Film

    jjabramsIt was no secret that Disney and Lucasfilm were in search for a director for the seventh Star Wars film. After previous denials, J.J. Abrams was announced to direct. He will be using Michael Arndt’s screenplay for the next installment.

  • CEO Considers Netflix on Probation with Consumers

    netflixNetflix made the decision in 2011 to make a significant change in their service. They split online streaming and DVD/Blu-ray into two different services, effectively making customers pay double if they want to have both. It received backlash from customers, but not enough to revert things back. Money is money after all.

  • Amazon to Produce Zombieland Series

    zombielandIn 2009 a unique movie called Zombieland hit the theaters with biting humor towards zombie films. The writing was witty, and the movie had a cast who had brilliant comedic timing. It had a self-contained story and didn’t feel like it needed a sequel. Regardless, there were attempts.

    A small film known simply as V/H/S has quietly been making rounds in the movie circuit and on Netflix. V/H/S is a collection of found-footage shorts, with one story used to present the others, formatting it as a horror anthology.
