• Clip Reveals CG Ape from Rise of the Apes

    WETA Digital and 20th Century Fox released a clip revealing an ape from the film Rise of the Apes starring James Franco and Freida Pinto.

    The CG looks really well done. It just might be better than using suits after all. I’m interested in how the movie pans out.

  • Mortal Kombat: Legacy First Episode is Out

    The web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy made its debut on YouTube with its first episode. It stars Michael Jai White as Jax, Tahmoh Penikett as Kurtis Stryker, Jeri Ryan as Sonya Blade and Darren Shahlavi as Kano.

    What else is there to say? If you’re a Mortal Kombat fan, you’ll enjoy the web series. Watch!

    During promotion of the DVD and Blu-ray release of Tron: Legacy, director Joseph Kosinski spoke of the third Tron film and how it will revolve around Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) and Quorra (Olivia Wilde) in and out of the Grid.

  • Update on Deadpool Film

    Finally more news comes in for 20th Century Fox’s comic adaptation of Deadpool: Tim Miller, the man who has done effects work on the first two X-Men films and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World will direct. It’ll be interesting since it’ll be his first time directing a feature-length film.

  • Andy Serkis (Gollum) as Second Unit Director on The Hobbit

    Peter Jackson continues bringing people on board for The Hobbit (part 1 and 2) who had a hand in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Andy Serkis, who portrayed Gollum, won’t just reprise his role, but will fill in the role of the second unit director on both films of The Hobbit.
