J.J. Abrams loves his secrets. Hot off of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the trailer to the sequel of Cloverfield dropped, entitled 10 Cloverfield Lane. One of the interesting things? There’s no signs of the monster — or monsters for the matter. Not literally anyway.

It surprises me. Suicide Squad is winning me over. The biggest issue I had — ironically — is Jared Leto’s Joker. Nevertheless, the film looks fun. But it might be just because of the song choice for the trailer. Maybe. -
‘Creed’ Director Ryan Coogler to Helm Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’
Amongst the craziness of a certain little movie in theaters, I went and saw the film Creed. Nearly everything about it is incredible; the likable characters, the emotional weight behind every scene, and the fantastic camera work. It quickly became one of my top movies of 2015. Suffice to say, I was very excited to hear that the man behind Creed will direct Marvel’s Black Panther. -

Interested in ‘The Big Short’

Empire’s Cover of Jared Leto as The Joker
Today Empire released their magazine cover of Jared Leto as the Joker for the upcoming movie, Suicide Squad. It further illustrates the departure from earlier film incarnations. It’s wildly different from the Heath Ledger version. For instance, the coat looks expensive, rather than the ill-fitted mess in The Dark Knight. Plus the cane is a nice touch.
