After watching the trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier around five times, I realized I should probably post it. So I watched it two more times.

When James Spader was first cast as the antagonist Ultron in Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron, it was clear that his hypnotic voice had a lot to do with it. There’s a quality that seems to fit perfectly with an A.I., one that isn’t friendly like J.A.R.V.I.S.
Days ago, news came out on Edgar Wright’s pesky little Ant-Man movie for Marvel. Things are finally picking up, with two actors in the running for the title role: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd.
Wright recently tweeted a photo that shows someone in the Ant-Man costume, proving that pre-production is underway. Of course it’s a stuntman and not one of the actors named — unless someone can identify that butt for us? (I kid.)
Ender’s Game is receiving the film adaptation treatment; starring Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, and Ben Kingsley thrown in for good measure. The movie is based on Orson Scott Card’s book, with the screenplay written by Gavin Hood, who also directs.
Keanu Reeves was relatively quiet on the big screen front, but that all changes with the film 47 Ronin on the horizon. Reeves stars as the rejected half-breed named Kai, who the others eventually reach out to for help against otherworldly enemies.
Check out the trailer. 47 Ronin looks like it’ll be a fun martial art fantasy film. It hits theaters December 25, 2013.
Ben Affleck’s casting as Bruce Wayne/Batman has caused a lot of rage, and my knee-jerk reaction was close to that. The first thought in mind — and for many others — was the dreadful Daredevil movie Affleck was in. But that was 10 years ago. Affleck has arguably grew as an actor, and even more so, grew as a director.
