  • The Warrior’s Way Trailer

Starring actor Dong-gun Jang is the film The Warrior’s Way. Joining him are actors Geoffrey Rush, Kate Bosworth, and Danny Huston. It’s directed by Sngmoo Lee.

The premise? An assassin is forced into hiding in a small town in America after refusing a kill. Ninjas soon follow after him.

It looks like a really fun fantasy film; a fantasy film with ninjas and cowboys. No, I didn’t stutter. It opens December 3rd. Ch-ch-check it out!

  • Released Clip For Tron: Legacy

A new clip has been released for Tron: Legacy. Describe it? No! Watch it!

  • New Captain America Photos Released

Entertainment Weekly released photos from Captain America: The First Avenger. I’m digging the costume. And seeing the original shield was an awesome surprise.

My friends at Warehouse 1904 Productions have been hard at work on their film Delta Zulu.

What’s the premise you ask? After an apocalyptic event that leaves humanity near ruins, there’s a threat that still lingers in areas that are quarantined off. In these areas, private military companies carry out missions for profit. A freelance reporter named Clark follows a group of mercenaries known as White Shield International to document their efforts and their side of the story.

On October 9th and 10th I had the pleasure of joining Warehouse 1904 to shoot scenes for Delta Zulu. In a caravan we headed down to Campo where we were scheduled to film.

The area we shot in Campo left me giddy. Along the desert were abandoned buildings that were falling apart; some were overtaken by overgrowth, others were crumbling away. The paths were jagged; it was not friendly; it looked like a deserted town, and we were the only people there.

We diligently filmed throughout the day and once it was night, we carried on shooting. There was such a stark contrast between a sunny, hot day in Campo to how quickly nightfall came with the cold weather. Nevertheless, our minds were on business and got the shots we wanted.

My second day with Warehouse 1904 wasn’t as intense, but it was still just as productive. With the cast in military gear, we loaded up the vehicles and hit the road to film guerrilla style. The caravan of jeeps stuck to a strict route while a fourth vehicle armed with cameras maneuvered around. The actors in the jeep I was in broke out in song a few times when we weren’t being filmed; showing how enjoyable it is to shoot with this cast and crew.

Filming officially wrapped for Delta Zulu recently, and it’s now in post production. And for those who have yet to see the trailer: watch it right now!

  • Third Batman Film Gets Title

Director Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film has been given a title: The Dark Knight Rises. It’s underwhelming. The Dark Knight Returns would’ve gotten backlash from comic book fans since Nolan is intent on keeping Batman and Superman in separate movie universes. But there’s other titles that have potential.

Batman fell as a hero in the eyes of the public in the last film. The police no longer collaborate with him, and he’s wanted for murders he didn’t commit. A more relevant choice would’ve been Shadow of the Bat.

Chris Nolan went on to debunk rumors that the Riddler would be in the film. My choice at this point would be Black Mask. For those who don’t know: Black Mask is Roman Sionis, a man born in wealth who burned down his family’s mansion and killing his parents in the process. Years later Sionis became Black Mask due to the anger and humiliation of Bruce Wayne saving and taking over his failing company. As Black Mask, he forms the False Face Society, who gain power in the Gotham underworld.

Who better than Tom Hardy, who recently joined the cast? No, really. Hardy would be excellent in the role of Black Mask.

  • Daft Punk’s Derezzed for Tron: Legacy

A new trailer for Tron: Legacy has been released, which heavily features one of Daft Punk’s songs for the soundtrack entitled Derezzed. Too excited; I cannot wait.

  • ACME Gets Movie

Brothers Kevin and Dan Hageman have recently pitched the idea of a feature film revolving around the Looney Tunes’ fictional warehouse ACME.

Oddly, Looney Tunes characters — including the notable Wile E. Coyote — wouldn’t be in the film. It would be a live-action/CG film featuring ACME’s outrageous devices. Think Who Framed Roger Rabbit without the characters but with all the gear.

Jon Berg of Warner will produce with Mark Bauch of Lin Pictures co-producing.

It’s an odd concept, but it hasn’t been done before. I don’t expect it to be something adults will enjoy, but the kids will eat it up.

  • Neil Patrick Harris Directs Indie Film

Actor Neil Patrick Harris will be making his feature directing debut with the upcoming indie film Aaron and Sarah. It’s penned by Chad Gomez Creasey and Dara Resnik Creasey of Pushing Daisies.

The premise is the development of a friendship between a geek and a popular girl throughout their years in high school together. It’s a relatively simple and straightforward plot.

Josh Hutcherson and Emma Roberts are attached in the lead roles.

I wouldn’t show much interest in this indie film, but Neil Patrick Harris is a very charismatic and comedic actor — and who knows? His style just might translate brilliantly in the director seat.
