At this point it isn’t new news that Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are reprising their roles in the next installment of The Mummy. It was a long time coming and fans are rejoicing. To this day, The Mummy is still one of the greats, and their chemistry had a lot do with it.
Filming is underway, and as of this time, we do not know the plot for the new movie. But we did learn that the official title is The Mummy: Book of the Dead. Joining Fraser and Weisz are John Hannan, Kevin J. O’Connor, and Oeded Fehr, all reprising their roles as well. Remember when I said that Fraser and Weisz’s chemistry had a lot to do with The Mummy being so good? That actually applies to all of the others too. The entire cast had great chemistry together, so it’s exciting that they’re all back for this one.
The Mummy: Book of the Dead is slated for release October 15, 2027.
