The Batman mythos is ripe with many characters and stories that can translate into TV, and the next character in the works is the Batman villain, Poison Ivy. Do I need to explain who she is? I mean… you are here. A very nerdy and geeky blog. You’re the right audience. Right?
Just in 2024 we had HBO’s The Penguin starring Colin Farrell in the titular role. And it earned Farrell an Emmy and a Golden Globe. Not really something you hear of for a comic book show, and it gives you a good idea of how well-made the show was. If you haven’t watched it yet, you really should.
I brought up The Penguin because not only was it a really good show; its showrunner Lauren LeFranc is attached as the producer for the Poison Ivy show. Which already bodes well, since you know, she ran an award winning comic book TV series.
