(more…)Iron Man teased the idea of a larger movie universe with Agent Coulson mentioning S.H.I.E.L.D. Then the end credits drove it home with Director Nick Fury schooling Tony Stark on not being the only one doing heroics. I flipped out. It was the first time a comic book movie went there; that there’s more out there and that we will see more heroes in the same movie universe.
Yesterday was the third and final presidential debate, where we all hatefully yelled at the TV while negativity came out of the TV speakers. But hey, there was one silver-lining. One sliver of hope. A beacon of light that brings smile and joy on the faces of the masses. Director and writer James Gunn released a little teaser for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Some more footage came out for Marvel’s Doctor Strange. And this time, we get glimpses of just how out there things will get.
The previous trailers showed us the reality-bending magic that Doctor Strange and others have — and it looked very similar to the dream sequences from Inception. Amongst the craziness of a certain little movie in theaters, I went and saw the film Creed. Nearly everything about it is incredible; the likable characters, the emotional weight behind every scene, and the fantastic camera work. It quickly became one of my top movies of 2015. Suffice to say, I was very excited to hear that the man behind Creed will direct Marvel’s Black Panther.
I’m behind on posting this. So behind.
Marvels’ The Avengers ended with a stinger (after credit scene) that revealed who was pulling Loki’s strings; and arguably one of Marvel’s more fearsome super villains: Thanos.
Tonight is the midnight showing for Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Like many others, I’ll be in line for it. The film already screened and opened in other places, and the main word is that what occurs in it will change the landscape of the Marvel Universe.
