Marvel Studios was very ambitious when they released Iron Man, and revealed their intentions of starting a shared universe for their superheroes. More movies followed broadening the scope, and ultimately led to The Avengers.

We’ve known from the get-go that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. shares the same universe as all the Marvel movies. The first episode dealt with Extremis, which was in the plot for Iron Man 3. With Thor: The Dark World hammering into theaters this week, could we see some of that story finding its way onto S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Nonetheless, I’m very excited for the sequel. The Capitol looks even more grandiose, and the stakes are clearly higher. There’s consequences that Katniss and Peeta must face after The Hunger Games.
