Paramount is picking up the horror spec script for Hauntrepreneur, written by Scott Rosenberg (Con Air, October Road). The film will be produced by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form’s Platinum Dunes.

Fox’s series House, starring Hugh Laurie, is renewed for an eighth season. The surprising part? Lisa Edelstein, who portrays Dr. Cuddy; House’s boss, ex-girlfriend and essentially an antagonist (though our “hero” House is more like the antagonist) will not return for the new season. -

Ethan Hawke in Total Recall Remake
Ethan Hawke has recently been cast in the remake of Total Recall. He joins star Colin Farrell, who will play Douglas Quaid; and Bryan Cranston, who will portray antagonist Vilos Cohaagen. Hawke’s character isn’t known yet and it’s apparently just a cameo.
