Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man Suit Released
Sony Pictures released a photo of actor Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man suit — and I’m really stoked for the film. The suit does the comic justice, and Garfield’s enthusiasm to the role ramps up the anticipation for the movie.
Oh, and does that look like web-shooters on his wrists? Why yes, yes it does.

23rd James Bond Film Back on Track
The latest James Bond movie is back on track after MGM sorted itself out with Spyglass Entertainment taking over the filmmaking side of the studio — and yes, Daniel Craig will reprise his role as 007.The film will take place after the events in Quantum of Solace, but it’s unclear what the premise is in the screenplay written by Robert Wade, Neal Purvis and John Logan. Sam Mendes who was originally a consultant will now direct the Bond film.
It’s unknown who will distribute the movie, but it’s safe to assume that Paramount will; considering they released Spyglass’ reboot of Star Trek.
The 23rd James Bond film will release worldwide on November 9, 2012.

Total Recall Total Remake News
The remake of Total Recall by director Len Wiseman will differ significantly from Paul Verhoeven’s version. Instead of being a scene-for-scene remake, Wiseman’s will more closely follow the novella We Can Remember It for You Wholesale, by Philip K. Dick. The novella had no space mutants or Mars — so no, they won’t make an appearance in the remake.
Colin Farrell will star as main character Douglas Quaid — or revert to the original name Douglas Quail.
“Yeah, I saw some of the artwork, some of the pre-visualization stuff of the world that [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][Wiseman’s] folks are creating. And it’s really beautiful, really really cool. And I’ve had a good experience telling Philip K. Dick stories. Well, I’ve only had the one experience, but Minority Report was such a blast. Yeah, this could be a lot of fun.”
— Colin Farrell to MTV
I’m interested in seeing how different Farrell’s portrayal of Douglas Quaid will be from Arnold Schwarzenneger’s. After all, Farrell plays his roles more straight while Arnold is the king of one-liners.

Star Wars Saga Comes to Blu-ray
At the Consumer Electronics Show a huge announcement was made: the complete Star Wars saga will be available on Blu-ray in September. The complete saga will sell for $140, and will also be available in trilogy sets: the prequels and the originals for $70 each.
Or you can pre-order the complete saga for $90 HERE or just the prequel trilogy set HERE and the original trilogy set HERE for $45.
The complete saga of Star Wars will have more than 30 hours of special features, including an exploration of exclusive archives, never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes.
But if you’re like me, you’d buy the original trilogy set. After all, who wants to taint their Star Wars collection with the prequels?

Space Jam Website Still Kicking
In 1996 Warner Bros. released the live-action/animated film Space Jam starring NBA superstar Michael Jordan — I’m sure most remember the film’s premise being Jordan joining the Looney Tunes to play basketball against the Monstars. Why am I bringing up such an old movie? To my surprise, the official site for Space Jam is still up. Of course the background clashes with the content making it hard to read, but weren’t all websites like that at the time?
Nostalgia anyone? You can view the official Space Jam website HERE.

Tron: Uprising Animated Series Update
Disney pushes forward with its animated series Tron: Uprising. The show begins in the summer of 2012, with a voice cast comprising of Bruce Boxleitner, Elijah Wood, Mandy Moore, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Paul Reubens, Lance Henriksen and Nate Corddry.Wood stars as the character named Beck, who leads an uprising in the Grid. Joining him will be Boxleitner reprising his role as Tron.
The series will take place between the time CLU takes over the Grid to when Sam enters to look for his father.
At first the timeline is surprising; with the thought that time between the original Tron and the second film would make sense for a series, but time in the Grid is different than the real world. There’s a lot to cover between CLU’s take over and Sam’s entry into the Grid.
Adam Horowitz, the co-screenwriter of Tron: Legacy and consulting producer for the series had this to say:
“Our intention is to try and make something that is more than just, let’s go get something. We treat TRON very, very seriously and as writers we try to have a reason and a world for everything and not all of it gets to be shown because in this particular movie, we only had two hours. [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][So] hopefully it fills in the blanks in and in a fun way and an intriguing way.”
There’s massive potential in Tron: Uprising in its stellar cast and crew. After all, even Charlie Bean of Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack is involved.

Sam Worthington on Wrath of the Titans
It’s true, the Clash of the Titans remake was boring. The film felt pedestrian. Overall, there was no concern for the characters. They were simply going through the motions. Sam Wothington’s Perseus was ultimately unremarkable. So it’s a little of a surprise that a sequel is underway entitled Wrath of the Titans.I was pessimistic about a sequel, but Sam Worthington had some choice words about the prior film and what he sets out to do with this one that caught my eye.
“I think the first one, we kind of let down some people. And yeah, I totally agree. The only point of doing a sequel is either the audience demands it or you believe you can better the first one. What we’re setting out to do with this one — the writers and the director and myself — is improve. I think I can act f***ing better, to be honest … Just take all the notes from people that I have been reading about on the ‘net and give them a movie they f***ing want. This one I want to kind of try to satisfy a lot more people.”
— Sam Worthington to Moviefone.
The fact that an actor is taking online criticism to heart and intends to use it to improve his craft is admirable. Worthington’s intentions piqued my interest in Wrath of the Titans.
“I’ve always said you make movies for an audience, that’s who you make movies for. If the audience is speaking, it’s like the old gladiator thing, they give us the thumbs up/thumbs down, you want to stay alive in that coliseum as long as you can.”
— Sam Worthington to Moviefone.
