I can’t say I’m a fan of the solo Wolverine movies, especially X-Men Origins: Wolverine. That one was an abomination. But that’s besides the point. The upcoming third one, simply entitled Logan, had a trailer drop just the other day.
There’s something very different about the tone of Logan compared to the other X-Men films — and other comic book movies in general. The trailer feels very much like a character study instead of a summer blockbuster. Of course, it’s only a trailer so I could be wrong. I hope that I — and others — are not wrong. Let this break the third film streak.
Nevertheless, it looks good. Really good.
