We’ve known for years now, but it’s still unbelievable that Marvel’s Ant-Man is closer to release in theaters. Starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang (Ant-Man), Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym (Previous Ant-Man), and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, the movie follows — oh wait, here’s the official synopsis:

“Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.”
Sounds fun, doesn’t it? At least, I think so. Hell, just having Douglas and Rudd acting off each other sounds fun.
Ant-Man is an original Avenger in the comics, but he has yet to make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe until now — well, until the movie’s release, which is July 17. He won’t show up in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but there’s a good chance that he’ll finally make the team in the third Avengers film.
Marvel released a teaser trailer to hold fans over until the actually trailer that comes out during the premiere of Marvel’s Agent Carter on ABC this Tuesday, January 6.
