theavengersageofultronewcoverComic-Con is coming up and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is near. This means news on The Avengers: Age of Ultron! And photos – quite a few photos.

Tony Stark’s new armor takes influence from his Mark 42 suit and adds some more Hot Rod Red and makes it just a little more sleek. As for Steve Rogers, director Joss Whedon tries again to improve on the Captain America get-up. I’m liking it. It looks tactical.

As for the creation of Ultron? When the title was first announced at Comic-Con last year, people speculated right away that instead of Ant-Man creating Ultron, it’d be Tony Stark. It made sense. Ant-Man wouldn’t show face until Phase 3 – Stark had J.A.R.V.I.S. and even took things farther in Iron Man 3. Ultron is a natural progression for him.

The people were right. Tony Stark does create Ultron. It’s his way of automating super heroics. No need for him donning the armor, and giving the other Avengers a break from constantly putting their lives on the line. Of course Stark overreaches and Ultron gains a sentience that wants to hurt them.

So in the cover, who is behind Ultron? Oh, you know – more Ultrons. He’s ultimately an A.I., so he’s able to place himself in other robotic bodies and also make himself some more. It’s part of what makes him so dangerous. That and he’s played by James Spader (Stargate). That’s dangerous enough.
