We’ve known from the get-go that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. shares the same universe as all the Marvel movies. The first episode dealt with Extremis, which was in the plot for Iron Man 3. With Thor: The Dark World hammering into theaters this week, could we see some of that story finding its way onto S.H.I.E.L.D.?
Okay, okay, I’ll stop playing dumb. The episode airing November 19 will deal with events directly after Thor: The Dark World. Here’s the premise:
“In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces–one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team.”
As for speculation, there could always be a surprise of a guest appearance by someone — anyone — especially since they pulled a fast one already and had Samuel L. Jackson reprise his role as Nick Fury in a previous episode. But that’s just me nerding out about possibilities.
Head to theaters this Friday for Thor: The Dark World. Then on the 19th, tune in for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. You know you want to.
