The Terminator and Terminator 2 were highly regarded films, while the third movie and Terminator: Salvation can be summed up as “meh”. Nevertheless, Paramount, Skydance Productions, and Annapurna Pictures intend to move forward with the franchise.
As expected, Arnold Schwarzenegger is making a return to Terminator, since he returned to film after all.
But wasn’t expected was the franchise being rebooted instead of carrying forward with the story. Then again, the last two films didn’t exactly get the success the studios were hoping for.
Simply entitled Terminator, the reboot is scheduled for theaters June 26, 2015.
