Prometheus is one of my most anticipated movies this summer, and the viral marketing for it only makes it more intriguing. It’s been a slow burn, fleshing out the backstory for the movie and its connections to Alien. First with Weyland’s speech on  technology; and now with Michael Fassbender’s character named David.

For those unaware, David is an android developed by Weyland Industries.

Fassbender seems to be channeling HAL from A Space Odyssey. He comes off a little odd. He reacts with emotional cues rather than genuine emotion. And his demeanor is reserved and hypnotic. Everything from his speech to his body language feels calculated. It’s almost unnerving. David will definitely be one of the more interesting characters in the film.

Prometheus comes out in theaters June 8.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
