On Friday, Marvel made the announcement that another cameo is planned for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Jaime Alexander, who portrays Lady Sif in both Thor movies, will reprise her role in the 15th episode of the show.
There’s a significant difference to her cameo. Unlike Colbie Smulder’s Maria Hill or Samuel L. Jackson’s Director Nick Fury’s appearances, Lady Sif will play a vital role in the episode’s plot.
One of the main complaints was that the show had elements of the films, but it still didn’t really feel like part of the same universe. The previous cameos felt like just that: cameos. Lady Sif’s actual involvement in a plot will take a step towards the right direction.
