The new trailer for Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has made its way online. And unlike the two previous films, On Stranger Tides looks more focused and fun. In fact, it looks like the sequel The Curse of the Black Pearldeserved.

Another visually stunning animated short by Ben Hibon for Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch is making rounds. This time, the short centers around a knight’s quest against orcs and ultimately facing a dragon.
Oscar-nominated director Darren Aronofsky has unfortunately left the director’s seat in The Wolverine starring Hugh Jackman. The new movie is a stand-alone, separate from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and deals with Logan’s adventures in Japan. And due to this, Aronofsky reasoned that he doesn’t want to spend almost a year in Japan and away from family.
Tricia Helfer, who played Six in Battlestar Galactica recently posted a picture on her Twitter of herself, James Callis (Gaius Baltar) and Jamie Bamber (Lee Adama). She also revealed their names for the new show 17th Precinct by Battlestar showrunner Ron Moore: Morgana, John and Caolan.
The animated short by Ben Hibon for Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch is released by Warner Bros. It’s visually stunning, as you would expect from both Snyder and Hibon — who is best known for the animated short The Tale of the Three Brothers in part one of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Another trailer for Steven Spielberg’s and J.J. Abrams’ film Super 8 has hit the net. There’s a definite vintage Spielberg feel to the teaser and it’s very promising.
The trailer for the animated series Tron: Uprising by Disney has made rounds online. Elijah Wood will voice the main character Beck who leads a revolution against CLU, who will be voiced by Fred Tatasciore. Joining them are Lance Henriksen, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Nate Corddry, Paul Reubens — and best of all, Bruce Boxleitner reprising his role as Tron. And yes, Daft Punk’s score will find its way in Tron: Uprising, being remixed by Com Truise, M83, Photek and Moby.
Tron: Uprising will debut on Disney as a 10-part micro-series later this year and then become a full-fledged series in the summer of 2012.
