  • Foo Fighters Crash Westboro Baptist Church Protest

    A lot of us know of Westboro Baptist Church and their constant stream of protests; preaching hate and hoping to draw a little violence so they can sue — but Foo Fighters had a different approach against them: crashing their protest in costume and singing.

    It’d be hilarious if more performers do this to Westboro — basically invalidating their protests of hate by turning each one into a fun, little concert.

    Dean Winchester himself, Jensen Ackles walked on stage while the audience in Hall H cheered wildly. He soaked it in as only Ackles could, then in a jerk-like demeanor told the crowd, “Alright, shut up!” And of course the audience quieted down, but not after laughing at Ackles’ playfulness.

    Before the moderator for The Amazing Spider-Man panel could even speak, a person dressed in a Spider-Man costume took the microphone used for fans to ask questions and insisted on letting him speak before the panel officially begins. The moderator started to look annoyed until the fan ripped off his mask and revealed himself as Andrew Garfield. Hall H erupted with cheers before quieting down for the future Peter Parker.
