The trailer to Joss Whedon’s version of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing is out. The obvious fun part — other than Whedon directing — is his cast. For example: Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion, and Clark Gregg. You’ll notice they all come from previous works that Whedon helmed; Buffy, Firefly, and The Avengers. I also wanted an excuse to name-drop.

It only took inspiration for the characters and more or less disregarded the stories. The movies didn’t take themselves seriously, and they were a lot of fun because of it.
