My interest in Zack Snyder’s take on Superman continues to grow. The released trailer showed a Superman we aren’t accustomed to on film. Yes, there’s a sense of hope, but it’s clear that it’s a struggle to get there.

Battle-Worn Tony Stark in Iron Man 3
You would think that after Tony Stark drove off into the sunset with his new best-friend-forever Bruce Banner in The Avengers, that he’d have a cushy life for at least a year or something or another. Based on the trailer and nearly all the production stills we’ve seen so far, it isn’t the case at all. It looks more like Stark is going through complete hell. It’s a given when he’s an arrogant hero, who made friends with a guy whose bad temper flattens cities. But as Robert Downey Jr. said: Stark had Banner promptly deported.

Hugh Jackman Will Return in X-Men: Days of Future Past
Not long ago there was a rumor circulating that Hugh Jackman would play Wolverine in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. It didn’t take very long to become fact. Today, Jackman took to Twitter to reveal that he’s doing more than just a quick cameo like he had in First Class.

Casting Complete for Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D.
Marvel and Joss Whedon have been hard at work on bringing S.H.I.E.L.D. to television. Whedon is spearheading the show and writing the pilot with his brother, Jed, and Maurissa Tancharoen; who have all worked together on Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.

Iron Man 3 on Location in China
Production for Marvel’s Iron Man 3 was underway earlier this week in China. To publicize the moment, a photo was taken of Iron Man and actor Wang Xueqi, who plays Dr. Wu in the movie. It’s a bit odd seeing the armor that took a beating from Thor and the Helicarrier, since Tony Stark is all about constant progression. But who knows? Aside from anyone involved in the film, of course.

The much anticipated trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel hit the public eye today. And speaking of “eye”, the film is looking visually stunning, which is a given with Snyder directing. The trailer makes it clear that it’s taking Superman in a different direction than the prior films, but keeps the inspiring awe that captures Superman so well.
I’m more of a Batman fan, but I must admit — and it pains me to say it — I’m very much looking forward to Man of Steel.

Martin Sheen Returns for The Amazing Spider-Man 2
In every classic Spider-Man story, Uncle Ben dies and becomes the catalyst for Peter Parker’s journey towards heroism. With The Amazing Spider-Manit was easy to assume that actor Martin Sheen fulfilled his role as Uncle Ben. Surprisingly — or not so surprisingly — that isn’t the case.
