The first poster for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises is released by Warner Bros., on www.thedarkknightrises.com. It’s reminiscent of Nolan’s film Inception, but hey . . . it does play off the escalation angle — and the bat symbol being formed by the skyscrapers is a nice touch.

Second Theatrical Trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger
The new trailer for Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger is out online. Focusing on Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, it summarizes Rogers as a scrawny kid who feels it’s his duty to serve his country. Despite his small stature, Rogers displays bravery and longs to fight for a cause bigger than himself — which are traits that help select him for a serum that transforms him into Captain America. And as a hero, Rogers remains humble and inspirational.

Captain America: The First Avenger Retro Poster
Marvel Studios printed 100 copies of a poster of Captain America: The First Avenger for the cast and crew of the film. It’s very retro, reminiscent of director Joe Johnston’s The Rocketeer. And let us not forget that the poster showcases Captain America punching out Hitler — an image used in the comics and as propoganda when the character was first created.
Too bad only the cast and crew (and five lucky people at the Hero Complex Film Festival) get a copy — I’d love to have my own.
Captain America: The First Avenger hits theaters July 22.
