The trailer for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is out now, starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton. The feel has a combination of Brothers Grimm and Van Helsing. Frankly, I find that enjoyable.

After numerous delays — thanks to the studio’s indecisiveness on either the R-rated cut or PG:13 — Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters will hit theaters in January.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

  • Worst Box Office Opening Goes to Oogieloves

The current worst box office opening goes to the children’s movie Oogieloves. A terrifying Teletubbies ripoff about three monsters searching for five magical balloons (probably full of the blue stuff) for their friend’s birthday party.

  • Pilot Episode for Revolution Online Now

NBC has confidence in their new show Revolution and it’s hard not to see why. It was created by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, produced by J.J. Abrams of Lost, and directed by Iron Man director Jon Favreau. Those aspects alone should pique interest.

New show Revolution hasn’t aired yet but already has a strong presence. The pilot episode directed by Iron Man director Jon Favreau was shown at Comic-Con and made an impact on the audience. Then of course there was the huge banner that was lit up on the side of a hotel across the convention center.

  • Michael Keaton in Robocop

It was rather devastating that Hugh Laurie dropped out from the Robocop remake starring Joel Kinnaman. He would’ve made an excellent CEO of Omni Corp. Luckily, director Jose Padilha found a more than suitable replacement.

An alternate opening to The Avengers is online, focusing on Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill’s interrogation after the attack on New York. It’s a more emotional scene than the Loki one we saw in theaters, and really changes the dynamic between Nick Fury and Maria Hill. It shows that Hill may follow orders, but she has issues with Fury’s command. It takes from the comics; Hill always had a problem with Fury.
