Matt Reeves Write & Directs ‘The Batman’

Per usual, I’m very late to the party, but I digress.

Batman v Superman brought Batman back in the comic book movie fold and kick-started DC’s film universe. Granted, after Justice League, they decided to change gears and not have the movies as connected as their counterpart in Marvel’s cinematic universe. The ongoing movies are more loosely connected instead. One in particular is the change in actor playing Batman.

‘Men in Black’ Continues with New Cast

I try not to hate on remakes since they’ve been a thing for as long as film has been around, but sometimes I can’t help myself. The news a while back about a remake for Men in Black was one of those times. I loved the original as a kid. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones were fantastic. Then, there was also the cartoon that I really liked — I guess that might go a little towards remake territory, but I digress.

Marvel’s ‘The Avengers: Infinity War’ Trailer

Iron Man teased the idea of a larger movie universe with Agent Coulson mentioning S.H.I.E.L.D. Then the end credits drove it home with Director Nick Fury schooling Tony Stark on not being the only one doing heroics. I flipped out. It was the first time a comic book movie went there; that there’s more out there and that we will see more heroes in the same movie universe.

‘Stranger Things’ Trailer Gives Look at Return

Stranger Things is one of those shows that I’m a huge fan of. After binge watching it, I was quick to have family come over weekly to watch it. They were easily just as hooked. Just about everything about it hit the right notes. The actors were engaging and the atmosphere and cinematography left you with a sense of unease that latched onto your attention.
