‘Miami Vice ’85’ has its Stars and Director

I can’t say I was ever a fan of any iteration of Miami Vice but there is a good chance that I will be when the latest version hits theaters. There is one good reason for that — by which I mean two — by which I mean three. Three good reasons: Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler are set to star in the remake, with director Joseph Kosinski at the helm. Both actors are incredible, and the director has directed one of my favorites: Tron: Legacy, and the really, really good Top Gun: Maverick.

Entitled Miami Vice ’85, the film will dive into the glamour and corruption of the 1980s, in — you guessed it — Miami. Besides that, the only other things known is that production begins this year and it’s set for a release date in 2028. But really, what else do you need to know to have your interest completely piqued?
