Mark Dacascos Joins Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Growing up, I was a huge fan of actor and martial artist, Mark Dacascos. You could even say I idolized the man. I loved his fighting style in Drive – which if you haven’t seen, you really should. It has incredible fight scenes. Why am I bringing him up? (Pretending that you didn’t read the headline.) He has signed on to one of my favorite TV shows: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Mark Dacascos will portray the head of security for S.H.I.E.L.D., Giyera. The best part about it is that it’s a heavily recurring role. I am beyond stoked. And you just know that they will take advantage of having an incredible martial artist on board; lots of fantastic fight scenes.

You should also check out Only the Strong. And you should definitely check out Double Dragon. That film was the greatest to me when I was a kid. It still is.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is gonna make me geek out nonstop forever.
