Usually I don’t read (or even write for the matter) reviews. For the past couple years I preferred going in blind to a movie – or at least as much as possible. In retrospect, that was a little hard to do, considering that I have this blog. It’s kind of ironic. It also explains why I have written less about spoilers on here. Nevertheless, I read a review on a movie that instantly piqued my interest: The Big Short.
The movie stars Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, and Brad Pitt. That alone is enough to grab your interest, right?
The film is written and directed by Adam McKay (The Other Guys) and based on the novel by Michael Lewis, entitled The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine. It’s pretty much a Terminator – the premise deals with the housing and credit bubble. The movie follows each banker – and according to the reviewer, informs while entertaining the audience.
You should go ahead and the give the review a read – it explains the plot without giving much away. As for me, I’m entirely looking forward to seeing the film when it’s released.
The Big Short comes out in theaters December 23, 2015.
