J.J. Abrams is busy at work with pre-production on Star Wars: Episode VII. Reportedly, eyes are on a Breaking Bad actor right now for an unspecified role.
No, Bryan Cranston isn’t up to play the diabolical empress. Jesse Plemons, who played the teacher’s pet and incredible sociopath with a crush, Todd, on Breaking Bad, is currently in talks for a role. Plemons sent in a videotaped audition that was impressive enough to get him a second audition with Abrams.
As of right now the role he’s up for is speculation. The popular idea is that he’ll play the son of Luke Skywalker, since he has a resemblance to Mark Hamill. Hopefully this means he falls prey to the dark side in hopes of gaining favor with a new crush. It’s like poetry; it rhymes.
