The 50th anniversary of Doctor Who is on the horizon and the premise to the special, Day of the Doctor, is out. It will be a peaceful episode, by which I mean:
“The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th anniversary special. In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.”
There’s a lot going on in the plot. It’s almost overwhelming. But hey, that’s what three Doctors are for. It’s gonna be a blast seeing David Tennant’s and Matt Smith’s Doctors interacting. And not only that, there’s also John Hurt’s mysterious Doctor shaking things up.
The Day of the Doctor is November 23.
