With director Bryan Singer, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen returning to the X-Men, it comes as no surprise that rumors are now spreading that Hugh Jackman is in talks to make an appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

In the comics, Wolverine was up front and center for the Days of Future Past story arc. He was one of the last remaining X-Men in the future, fighting against the extinction of mutants from Sentinels. It’d be a little odd if he doesn’t at least make a cameo.

If the rumor is true, then it’ll most likely happen. Hugh Jackman enjoys the character and never hesitates to reprise the role. He had a quick cameo in X-Men: First Class that is memorable to fans, and he’s currently filming The Wolverine.

Now I only hope that Singer doesn’t let it become a cameo fest. But essentials like Xavier, Magneto and Wolverine are just fine.
