A Christmas Story is a beloved film for all during the holiday season. It’s ingrained as a tradition for families. Then again, it’s on for 24 hours straight on Christmas Day.

So it only makes sense that many years later a studio would want to capitalize on producing a sequel. The trailer is out, and honestly, the voice-over sounds almost like sarcasm about how great the new film is.

But let’s ignore that for a second. Watch the trailer. Aside from the aesthetic being close to the original, the comedy itself is slapstick, straying from the sentimental humor of the first.

A Christmas Story 2 comes out on Blu-ray — who cares? It’ll be swept under the rug and forgotten.

A Christmas Story returns to television this Christmas.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
