More news trickles in for Zack Snyder’s reboot of Superman: Kevin Costner and Diane Lane are cast as Clark Kent’s adopted parents Jonathan and Martha Kent. Joining them and Henry Cavil (Clark Kent/Superman) is three-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams, who will portray Lois Lane.
And for those who were worried that Snyder would give Superman the same treatment as Dr. Manhattan (Watchmen) by making him an apathetic “god”, he had this to say:
“What’s important to us is making (Superman) relevant and real and making him empathetic to today’s audience so that we understand the decisions he makes.”
It’ll be interesting to see pan out — Dr. Manhattan and Superman are essentially two sides of the same coin, and Snyder gets to translate both on-screen.
