I nerded out about Alien: Earth back in September, so I won’t get too into what I talked about already, but there is more to add. After the season concluded with a hook, it was up in the air if the show would actually get renewed for another season. Then time went on. And on. And it felt like it wouldn’t happen.
(more…)Sure, season 2 of Peacemaker is upon us this week, but it’s always a good time to bring up the opening of the show. Season 2 brought along with it a new theme song in “Oh Lord” by Foxy Shazam. And yes, it’s because of this that I brought up the band not too long ago.

One of my first memories as a child being introduced to comic books was a figure with a fiery skull and a motorcycle on fire. It was so different and scary and it grabbed my attention. I wanted to know more about Ghost Rider. I bought the Marvel character cards at the comic book shop just to have his card. And then I dove into the comics. I always leaned into horror when it comes to comics, novels, movies — you get the picture. They scared me, but I just kept coming back.

Browsing around and an article caught my eye: 15 Years Later, Guillermo del Toro Finally Gives an Update on This “Bucket-List” Horror Movie, and it unlocked a memory for me; I was pretty sure I posted about the project he passionately wanted to do, 15 years ago. And then I felt old.

(more…)My favorite singer, Hayley Williams from Paramore, had recently released her third solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, which is worth countless listens. There are so many emotional highs and lows throughout the album. And it is worth noting that it is her first fully independent album.
