Some more footage came out for Marvel’s Doctor Strange. And this time, we get glimpses of just how out there things will get.
The previous trailers showed us the reality-bending magic that Doctor Strange and others have — and it looked very similar to the dream sequences from Inception. It’s still a crazy sight but it wasn’t anything new. The footage now released makes the buildings bending and defying gravity look tame in comparison.
Admittedly, it was only last year when I first heard Phantogram. I was shown a couple of their music videos — which looked very psychedelic to me. The almost-haunting music fit perfectly. Then I saw them live when they toured with Muse. Their music immersed me. I was hooked.
After making essentially B-list and C-list superheroes into mainstream powerhouses — you know, like Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy — Marvel Studios is now bringing another into the limelight: Doctor Strange. It doesn’t hurt that it stars Benedict Cumberbatch.
At this point we have all seen the newest trailer for Captain America: Civil War, right? I know. It’s a silly question. Of course we have all seen it. The biggest surprise was the scene at the very end. You know which one.
What did you think of director Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim? I loved it. It was a really fun monster versus mech movie. The cinematography was gorgeous; in usual del Toro fashion. It spoke to me on a deep level. The child in me. That one who loved Ultra Man all the way to — dare I say it — Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad. So hearing that Pacific Rim 2 is moving forward is fantastic news to me.
J.J. Abrams loves his secrets. Hot off of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the trailer to the sequel of Cloverfield dropped, entitled 10 Cloverfield Lane. One of the interesting things? There’s no signs of the monster — or monsters for the matter. Not literally anyway.
Ridley Scott’s Prometheus left things open ended. Our surviving protagonists — one of them arguably an antagonist — took a ship and went off in search of new, fun adventures.

Last night I watched Star Wars: The Force Awakens in theaters yet again. Today, I stumbled onto the fact that David Prowse, the actor who wore the Darth Vader suit in the original trilogy, posted something very interesting on his Facebook.
