  • TV Spot for Cowboys & Aliens

    A new TV spot for Cowboys & Aliens is out. More action is displayed, and the spot shows a glimpse of one of the aliens.

    I’m excited to see Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde in action in Cowboys & Aliens. It’ll be a lot of fun. After all, it’s directed by Jon Favreau.

    The film releases July 29.

  • Sony Picks Up Mermaid: A Twist on the Classic Tale

    Sony picked up Carolyn Turgeon’s book Mermaid: A Twist on the Classic Tale for Shana Feste to adapt as a film. She will write and direct. Tobey Maguire and Jenno Topping are producing.  And yes, it’s another reimagining of a fairy tale that’s in the works.

  • Third Trailer for Green Lantern

    Yet another trailer is online for the film Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds. It displays much more of the sci-fi aspect, along with more of Green Lantern’s constructs in battle.

    The movie is definitely taking the right approach. It looks like it’ll be a lot of fun.

    Paramount is picking up the horror spec script for Hauntrepreneur, written by Scott Rosenberg (Con Air, October Road). The film will be produced by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form’s Platinum Dunes.

  • Surprising Decision on House

    Fox’s series House, starring Hugh Laurie, is renewed for an eighth season. The surprising part? Lisa Edelstein, who portrays Dr. Cuddy; House’s boss, ex-girlfriend and essentially an antagonist (though our “hero” House is more like the antagonist) will not return for the new season.
