Thoughts on ‘Mortal Kombat II’

So before, I mentioned that Karl Urban felt like odd casting for Johnny Cage because Lewis Tan was a lot opportunity for the part. The movie has been out for a good while now, and I did end up watching it multiple times. I enjoyed it immensely. Urban was fun as an older, has-been Johnny Cage, and things played out in a way that made me okay with stuff I was concerned about before.

The first Mortal Kombat had really fun fight scenes, but overall there were plenty of missteps. Like, no actual tournament and the fights mainly happening on earthrealm. Mortal Kombat II was quick to fix that. We jumped right into the tournament, rules quickly established, the stage set. And speaking of stages, we not only had fight scenes in Outworld, the sets were based on stages in the videogame.

Here is my review: Did you enjoy the Mortal Kombat games? Then you will enjoy the Mortal Kombat II. See it on streaming. Now, now, now!
