DC Studios continues to differentiate itself by not following a set-in-stone timeline for their films, and instead going with what has a script officially ready. It’s an approach that I appreciate; it gives creatives time to actually be creative and come up with an engaging story. One of their upcoming movies is on the villain Clayface. And really, I am here for it.
The trailer for Clayface recently came out and gives us a hint at what to expect. If the trailer is anything to go by, it will lean into horror-thriller. Nearly all Batman villains lean into that, and this will be the first time we’re getting Clayface in live-action.
Clayface stars Tom Rhys Harries in the titular role, with James Watkins directing. It releases in theaters October 23, 2026. How appropriate.
