‘Spider-Noir’ Series Starring Nicolas Cage

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse brought us a version of the noir version of Spider-Man from the comics, but this time portrayed as the version of Ben Reilly instead of Peter Parker (that’s a whole other thing). And with “noir” being one word to describe the character, it already tells you exactly what to expect.

The idea alone of a noir version of Spider-Man sounds like a fun and very different spin on the character; a cynical detective solving cases, but it was voiced by the very fun Nicolas Cage. The man’s acting style isn’t typical, and I remember it being described as a form of stage acting; to act for the audience in the back. The exaggerated approach Cage uses is refreshingly different than most, and he applies the same mindset with voice acting.

With that said, why stop at voice acting with Nicolas Cage? They went on to make a live action TV show starring the man himself in the titular role. Check out the trailer. It should be a fantastic good time.
