Backdoor Pilot for Possible ‘Supernatural’ Spinoff

The CW’s popular show Supernatural will enter its ninth season this fall. But that’s not all. The series will feature a backdoor pilot for a possible spinoff.

The backdoor pilot will air in episode 20 and will follow the Winchesters to Chicago, where the focus shifts to a family of humans and a family of monsters. Supernatural showrunner Jeremy Carver explained that it’ll be quite the departure, with a different perspective on the same world.

The most-likely-to-be show would also be open for cameos from the Winchesters and possibly our favorite awkward unicorn angel.
