In every classic Spider-Man story, Uncle Ben dies and becomes the catalyst for Peter Parker’s journey towards heroism. With The Amazing Spider-Manit was easy to assume that actor Martin Sheen fulfilled his role as Uncle Ben. Surprisingly — or not so surprisingly — that isn’t the case.
Martin Sheen will reprise his role as Uncle Ben in the second movie. It doesn’t mean the resurrection of Peter’s main influence, but rather a return through flashbacks with his lessons for Peter Parker. I’m glad. Sheen is an incredible actor. And Uncle Ben has an impact on Peter long after his death; continuing to illustrate that in the second film works perfectly.
