The remake of Robocop has a hell of a cast growing, with the likes of Joel Kinnaman, Samuel L. Jackson and Gary Oldman. Unfortunately, the man who was in talks to play Omni Corp CEO — and likely entertaining sociopath — Hugh Laurie has dropped out of the project.
It’s really too bad. You and I both know he would steal the show. But it’s okay. Maybe this means Bryan Cranston can step up for the role; his Walter White is cold. Just have Mr. White buy Omni Corp and lead it with a paranoid, iron first. It could work. Right?
Robocop makes a return to theaters August 9, 2013.
