Directed by James McTeigue comes The Raven, starring John Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe and Luke Evans as Detective Emmett Fields.

The plot deals with a string of horrific murders that follow in the footsteps of Edgar Allan Poe’s work. Detective Fields enlists Poe to help solve the murders, but the mysterious murderer begins dropping clues on purpose to gloat to the detective and writer.

I’m liking the feel of the trailer. The time period and hints of horror piqued my interest. And it’ll be interesting to see the chemistry between Cusack and Evans — especially since one has been in the business for a long time and the other is still a bit new.

The Raven releases in theaters March 9, 2012.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
