Ben Hibon, who directed the animated sequence in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will be directing a film with a new take on the Peter Pan story, entitled Pan.
In it, Captain Hook will be portrayed as an ex-police detective pursuing a kidnapper who appeals to children. It’s bound to be creepy.
The screenplay was penned by Ben Magid and will be produced by Brooklyn Weaver, Christopher Tuffin, and Martin Shore with Renee Tab and Tarik Heitmann as executive producers.
I enjoyed the animated sequence in Harry Potter, so who knows? This spin on Peter Pan has the potential to bring something new to the table with Ben Hibon directing.
