I can’t really say I watched Walker, Texas Ranger, since I really wasn’t a Chuck Norris fan. I mean, there were way better martial arts actors at the time — namely, my favorite, Mark Dacascos. Anyway! There was news a while ago that the show was being rebooted and I didn’t really think much of it. Until not too long ago. Following the end of Supernatural, Jared Padalecki was cast in the lead role for Walker, Texas Ranger.
Admittedly, I wasn’t aware of another Star Trek television show in the works until Comic-Con this year. I learned that Sir Patrick Stewart — after all this time — is reprising his role as Jean-Luc Picard in the aptly titled, Star Trek: Picard. It takes place decades after Star Trek: The Next Generation.
I spent the last few days ill and other night, in a haze of sickness and medicine, I was feeling nostalgic and browsed YouTube. There was one cartoon that I haven’t thought about for years and I had a strong urge to watch it. I put on the opening to Muppet Babies and I was instantly submerged in my childhood. Somehow, I remembered the lyrics. I sang it a lot when I was four or five.
Growing up, I was a huge fan of actor and martial artist, Mark Dacascos. You could even say I idolized the man. I loved his fighting style in Drive – which if you haven’t seen, you really should. It has incredible fight scenes. Why am I bringing him up? (Pretending that you didn’t read the headline.) He has signed on to one of my favorite TV shows: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The show Gotham has grown with another new cast member that piqued my interest a lot. A lot. BD Wong has joined and he will portray Batman villain, Hugo Strange. Before I get into that – BD Wong. Of Jurassic Park. And more recently: Jurassic World. You know him. The ever-smug Doctor Henry Wu.
