We’ve only had a few glimpses of the Lizard from The Amazing Spider-Man. That is, until now. A promotional poster was unveiled showing the appearance of the antagonist.

Some fans may not like how he doesn’t have a snout, like he does in the 90s cartoon or some comics. Personally, I like the design. It’ll make it easier to express emotion — and really, something that leans towards humanoid tends to give more of an uneasy feeling.

Aside from that, the design is a callback to the Lizard’s original appearance in the comics, as depicted here:The Amazing Spider-Man opens in theaters July 3.
