Finally more news comes in for 20th Century Fox’s comic adaptation of Deadpool: Tim Miller, the man who has done effects work on the first two X-Men films and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World will direct. It’ll be interesting since it’ll be his first time directing a feature-length film.

Screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese have written the script — which is exciting since they’re the ones responsible for the dialogue in Zombieland. They’ll make a good fit for writing Deadpool’s unstoppable banter — since after all, Deadpool is the merc with a mouth.

And yes, Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Deadpool. He was perfect in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. And let’s face it, he was one of the only good things about that movie. I’m stoked to see him portray Wade Wilson again, and this time with a script that is heavily influenced by the comic books.
